We reopen on Thursday 15th of January with Crib Night and Open Mic (in its new slot of the 3rd Thursday of each month). Please note, that there is a slight change to our opening hours. We will not be open on Wednesday and Sunday, until further notice, unless there is a special event such as a Tom’s Talk.
You may have have noticed that social media is deprecating our posts to the extent that people don’t hear of events until two weeks after they’ve been and gone! In order to mitigate this, we have set up a WhatsApp Community which will allow you to be kept up to date with what is happening at Tom’s Tap according to your interests. Events in January include a Tom’s Talk from Matt Fisher (manager of Crewe Alex Women’s FC) and the annual Primordial Radio Upvote Top 100: the best in rock and metal as voted by the listeners in 2025.
On the bar in January:
We’ll be kicking off the new year with MEB, our Modern English Bitter, on cask. This is the first time I think we’ve ever packaged a brew 100 per cent into cask.
Our first brew of January will be a Strata version of Hillbilly Engineering. In the fridge there will be a wide selection of alcohol free beers. Our whisky selection has been boosted by the addition of Toki, Tamnavulin and Pride of Primordial whiskies.
