Morning Tom’s Tappers, so Lockdown number two is upon us and here we are trying to work out what we can and can’t do during the lockdown.

Firstly it is important to mention that, as a brewery, we have an exemption so it is perfectly legal for us to trade for off sales during this period. Having said that, because of the time delay in writing labels and packaging the cans, we won’t be offering a “just rock up” option.

Click and Collect will ordinarily operate in a two hour slot during the day from Wednesday to Sunday. Bear with us as we find our feet with our level of busy – ness and check our social media for updates. For those of you who don’t use it, we will try and give an update on here.

Please order on the website tomstap.co.uk/shop or by email tomstapandbrew@gmail.com (leaving a contact phone number). If you can’t see what you want to order in the shop, check the tomstap.co.uk/on-the-bar We will contact you to give you a collection slot and a telephone number to call. When you arrive at the bar, please park in the adjacent car park (free to park after 3pm), call this number and we will bring the beer to you and put it in your boot. Please bring a box or bag to hold the bottles/cans.

We will be continuing with our local delivery service as follows.

Monday & Tuesday (Closed)

Wednesday: Crewe, Haslington, Sandbach, Middlewich, Nantwich

Thursday: Haslington, Sandbach, ST7 postcodes, Crewe, Nantwich

Friday: Crewe, Haslington, Sandbach, Middlewich, Nantwich

Saturday: Crewe, Haslington, Sandbach, Middlewich, Nantwich

Sunday: Crewe, Haslington, Sandbach, Middlewich, Nantwich.

Some of you have expressed a preference in receiving your drinks in the two pint milk bottles we started out using back in lockdown 1. This is absolutely fine in the local delivery area (they won’t stand up to courier abuse) just specify in the email or, if using the website, enter an even quantity and specify plastic bottles in the notes section.

If you live outside our local delivery area we can send you cases of cans in multiples of 8 or 12 available via the website or you might like to sign up to our subscription boxes.

So that’s it for the next four weeks at least. I’m going to try and rest unless you lovely people resolve to keep me busy (remember I’ve just had two weeks off and there are only so many history documentaries you can watch).

All the best

Sean and Jacqui.
