The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, announced that Tom’s Tap and Brewhouse has been voted Beard Friendly Pub of the Year 2024 in its annual poll, even though Head Brewer Sean Ayling was clean shaven at the time.

Jacqui Ayling Bar Manager at Tom’s Tap and Brewhouse said “We take great care to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe.” BLF Organiser Keith Flett extended commiserations to the runners-up, highlighting that all nominated pubs are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Additionally, Tom’s Tap has further solidified its reputation by receiving three beer festival awards last year. These include Dark Mild where it was joint winner at the Chester & South Clwyd Beer Festival; Ey Up Treacle (a collaboration with Blackjack Brewery) at the Chorlton Beer Festival; and last but not least Millionaire’s Shortbread at the Salford Beer Festival.

These accolades underscore Tom’s Tap’s commitment to delivering exceptional beer experiences and contributing to the vibrant beer culture; as well as providing a warm welcome in the Taproom to both the bearded and beardless.
