I deliberately spent very little time thinking about the business whilst on holiday (yay, go me) but chatted with a mate on our walk on Thursday and resolved to restart the wider trade sales of our business that was starting to grow quite nicely in January 2020 (we all know what happened next).

With that in mind we’re going away from only packaging cask beer to order and back to keeping a small amount in stock (although the majority of our beer will continue to be packaged in keg as that’s our method of dispense in the taproom). We’ll be restarting our monthly runs to Liverpool and Manchester but also heading east into Staffordshire and Derbyshire and further afield if there is demand.

And that’s the crux of this post. We’re looking to fill a van with 16-20 kegs or casks for a monthly run. That’s the amount which makes it worth hiring the van and filling it with diesel; under that it’s not really worth it. So if you’re in and around the A50, free of tie and want to get beer which not that many other pubs can get their hands on. Pop over to our Trade Customers page on our website and sign up to the mailing list. If mailing lists aren’t your thing, drop us an email and we’ll get in touch.
