We are delighted with the response we have had to our delivery service since this lockdown started but we have had a number of enquiries for takeaways since we closed. Our position remains much the same as it always was. Just because we are allowed to open for takeaways does not mean it is the safest thing to do.

Against that we have a number of customers who would like, especially at the weekend, to have a cold beer or cider in the garden earlier in the day. With that in mind, we’ve thought about what we could offer and we’ve decided to trial a click and collect scheme this coming weekend.

The scheme will operate on Friday between midday and 1.30pm and on Saturday between midday and 2pm.

Please order in the usual way but state you are collecting and add your vehicle registration number. We will reply with a time slot in which to collect your beer/cider and your invoice as we do for deliveries. You need to pay the invoice (there are options for card payment, paypal or bank transfer) then drive up, park in the adjacent car park (which is currently free) and we will bring the beer to you. There will be a 10% discount on collections. We strongly suggest bringing a box of some description to prevent the beers falling over.

Assuming click and collect works well during the trial period we will continue and also look at rolling out to other days.
